This bachelor's programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Polish language, literature, and culture to students from all backgrounds, including non-native speakers, foreigners, and Poles residing abroad. It is also ideal for those interested in the Polish language and culture and wish to expand their knowledge. The programme aims to enable students to achieve a minimum proficiency level of B2 in both Polish and English. Students can choose from two specializations: teaching Polish as a foreign language and the use of Polish language in tourism and business, preparing them for a professional career in various sectors of the labor market. Graduates can find employment opportunities in language schools both in Poland and abroad, cultural institutions, translation agencies, media, publishing houses, travel agencies, diplomatic missions, and various companies and enterprises that require communication in Polish and English on different levels, along with other languages known to the graduates. Throughout the programme, students will gain extensive knowledge of Polish grammar, literature, and culture, as well as English as a foreign language. Students will have the opportunity to study under highly qualified academic staff with considerable experience in teaching both Polish and English as foreign languages. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a practical understanding of the Polish language and culture, including courses on Polish history, society, and traditions. Additionally, the programme offers students a range of extracurricular activities, including language clubs, cultural events, and field trips, which provide them with a deeper understanding of Polish culture and society. By the end of the programme, students will have developed strong linguistic and intercultural communication skills, making them competitive candidates in the global job market.
