The Faculty of Agriculture and Biology at Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW offers a six-semester Bachelor’s Degree programme in Organic Agriculture and Food Production (OAFP). The aim of the programme is to provide students with a holistic and interdisciplinary understanding of organic agriculture and food production, presented by experts from different faculties of the university and from abroad. The programme is designed to meet the expectations of potential employers within the organic food production industry, and focuses on innovative teaching methods that activate and prepare students for future employment. To be eligible for the programme, students must have a qualification based on the results of the maturity examination in biology, chemistry, or mathematics, as well as confirmed knowledge of English. The programme covers a range of mandatory subjects over the course of three years, including topics such as environment protection, agroecology, sustainable food production systems, food legislation, plant breeding, livestock production, and food safety and hygiene. Students also have the opportunity to participate in study trips to organic farms to gain practical experience. Upon completing the programme, students are awarded a Bachelor diploma and 180 ECTS credits. Graduates can find jobs in various areas related to organic food production, such as production, processing, trade, and education and advisory services. The programme is available for a fee of 5,000 PLN.
