The M.Sc. Transport Systems Engineering and Management program offered by the Faculty of Transport is designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field of transport. The program is focused on three major areas of transportation, including road, railway, and municipal transport systems. Students gain knowledge and skills in the control and management of these systems, as well as their optimization and planning. They also learn about transport measurements and forecasting, design of multimodal transport hubs, and traffic modeling and planning systems using modern IT tools. The curriculum includes topics related to transport automation, such as automated vehicles and other solutions, as well as the role of the human factor in intelligent transport systems. Environmental impact and protection, rules of shaping transport law and policies, and management of the investment process in transport, including financing investment solutions, are also covered. The program's modules are designed to provide students with a broad understanding of transport systems engineering and management. Students learn about the theory of reliability and safety, measurement systems, urban and regional transport management, and legal regulations in transport policy, among others. The applied mechanics module enables students to understand the physical principles behind transport systems and their components. Graduates of the program are well-equipped to find employment in companies and local government units dealing with transport development and completion of the investment process in transport. They can also work in companies that offer consulting services, study and design offices, and research centers. Overall, this program prepares students for a career in the transport industry, where they can contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable and efficient transport systems.
