The MA in Literary Studies: Central Europe in the International Perspective is a two-year full-time programme conducted in English. It focuses on the literary traditions of Central Europe in the context of world literature. Students will study the literary works of major Central European writers, such as Kafka, Hrabal, or Kundera, and learn about the social, cultural, and historical factors that shaped their writing. They will also explore the reception of Central European literature abroad, its translations, adaptations, and interpretations. The programme includes lectures, seminars, and workshops taught by Polish and international scholars, as well as guest lectures by renowned writers and translators. The MA in Literary Studies: Central Europe in the International Perspective offers a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the Central European literary tradition and its place in the world literature. You will learn to communicate fluently in English, both in speech and writing. Cultural institutions (museums, community centers, publishing houses, theaters, etc.); media (radio and TV, social networks, news portals, etc.) and those sectors of the economy where intercultural communication knowledge is prevalent, allowing the future employee to establish effective international relations.
