The Gdansk University of Technology offers a Master of Science in Civil Engineering through the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering. This program is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of civil engineering. The program is taught in English, and upon completion, students will earn a final degree of Master of Science in Engineering (magister inżynier). The duration of the program is 1.5 years, which spans across 3 semesters. The program is designed to offer a total of 90 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) points. The program starts twice a year, during the winter and summer semesters. The program offers a range of courses covering topics such as structural analysis and design, construction technology and management, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, and environmental engineering. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through internships and research projects. Graduates of the program can pursue careers in areas such as structural design, construction management, environmental engineering, transportation engineering, and research and development. They can work in public or private sector companies, as well as pursue further academic studies at the doctoral level. The Master of Science in Civil Engineering program at Gdansk University of Technology provides students with advanced knowledge and skills in various aspects of Civil Engineering. The program includes both theoretical subjects such as Mathematics, Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, and practical engineering courses like Complex Concrete Structures, Complex Steel Structures, Construction Management, Advanced Foundations, Bridge Structures, and others. Students will gain expertise in designing land and water structures, bridges, tunnels, roads and highways, railways, as well as management of the investment process. To be eligible for the Master of Science in Civil Engineering program, candidates must have a BSc in Civil Engineering, or a general academic profile in Civil Engineering or practical profile in Civil Engineering, or a degree in a related field. Graduates of the Master of Science in Civil Engineering program will be well-equipped to work in various fields of civil engineering construction, such as construction sites, design offices, research-development institutes, building material industry, and other civil engineering institutions. Additionally, they will be prepared to pursue a PhD in the field of Civil Engineering.
