The 6-year MD program is designed to provide a comprehensive medical education to high school/secondary school graduates. It is a full-time study program that meets the requirements of Polish medical higher education institutions and EU standards, and is known as MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in India. The program comprises 12 semesters, with the first 6 semesters (years 1-3) focusing on pre-clinical and basic subjects such as anatomy, medical chemistry, biology, biophysics, physiology, histology and cell biology, microbiology, pathomorphology, and pharmacology. The next 6 semesters (years 4-6) are dedicated to clinical subjects such as internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, radiology, family medicine, neurology, oncology and palliative care, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, infectious diseases, and others. The program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of medical science and the skills needed to become competent medical practitioners.
