The B.Sc. program in Sustainable Building Engineering offered by the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering is designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in sustainable building engineering. The program includes internships in construction companies and covers topics such as strength of materials, structural analysis, geomechanics, building technology, enterprise management, steel structures, concrete structures, timber structures, technical equipment of the building, HVAC, water supply, sewage utilization, energy certification, architecture, and city planning. The program aims to prepare graduates to solve complex problems in civil engineering, using computer-aided design, including BIM technology. Sustainable construction is a new social need in Poland and the EU, and this program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to address ecological, economic, and socio-cultural aspects of sustainable construction, taking into account knowledge in the field of construction, environmental engineering, and architecture.
