The International Relations - Global Studies Bachelor's program at Wroclaw University is designed for both Polish and international students interested in the complex and multidisciplinary field of globalization. The program focuses on the various mechanisms of globalization and the interdependence between local and global events and phenomena. The curriculum is divided into obligatory, specialty, and optional courses. The program requires a minimum of 2000 teaching hours, equating to 180 ECTS credits. Students complete general studies, core courses in international relations and global studies, and specialized courses within their chosen area of focus. They also have the flexibility to choose optional courses each semester, aiming for a total of 30 ECTS credits per semester through a combination of these course types and workshops. Beyond academic coursework, the program includes mandatory Polish language study for four semesters, a foreign language for one semester, and 60 hours of physical education. Program completion necessitates writing and defending a Bachelor's thesis under faculty supervision or passing a Bachelor's examination. The program facilitates international student exchange opportunities and grants access to all University of Wroclaw student services and facilities. Its multidisciplinary curriculum integrates theoretical perspectives from economics, international relations, political science, anthropology, sociology, area studies, cultural and ethnic studies, and elements of natural sciences. The program aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of globalization's diverse facets and global impacts. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in international relations, diplomacy, research, non-governmental organizations, and multinational corporations. Applicants must submit a High School graduation certificate (or equivalent), transcript of grades, certificate confirming eligibility for higher education in their country, B2 level English language proficiency certificate, passport photocopy, and a digital passport-sized photo.
